A derby league can only do as much as our team and friends are able. From league operations and recruitment to getting opportunities to play, there is always a need for help to make it hapopen.
Roller Derby Refs and NSOs
Don’t want to Play? Try being a referee or non-skating official (NSO)!
Refs have the best view of the game. Refs are on skates calling penalties and assigning points. A fully staffed game requires Jam Refs, Inside Pack Refs (IPR),
and Outside Pack Refs (OPR). One of the refs is the head referee.
NSOs keep the bout going! Many NSOs are required for each bout, performing scorekeeping, penalty box timing, jam timing, tracking lineups and penalties, and more.
Collision can train refs and NSOs!
