About Collision

About Collision Roller Derby

Collision was founded in 2011 as the first and only MRDA league in North Carolina. We are a skater-run, skater-owned organization. We are based in Apex, but have skaters from all across NC, and even beyond the borders. Currently we are a mix of skaters from the original Collision team, aged-out junior skaters, and dual league skaters skating with MRDA and WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Derby Association) leagues.

Collision prides itself on meeting every skater at whatever level they currently are. We work hard to support and lift up all of our members on and off the track. Our experienced skaters are thrilled to teach new skaters, which provides everyone opportunities to learn and grow in different ways. This space is a safe and fun environment, where we want you to be comfortable being yourself. Collision is a tight-knit group of friends who work hard to improve at the sport of roller derby. We would love for you to join us!

Inclusivity Statement

Collision Roller Derby is a member-run roller derby team for all humans.  We seek to enhance ourselves, physically and mentally, and enrich our community through roller derby.  We welcome skaters of all ages, gender identities and expressions, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and abilities.   We work to be a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for our diverse community of skaters, officials, volunteers, and fans.

We gratefully acknowledge the Native Peoples on whose ancestral homelands we live, work, and skate, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make North Carolina their home today.
