About Collision
WE’VE BEEN COLLIDING SINCE 2011
Collision Roller Derby was founded in 2011 as North Carolina’s first MRDA league. We’re a skater-run, skater-owned adult roller derby league based in the Triangle, with skaters from across North Carolina and beyond.
Today’s Collision brings together longtime members, skaters who grew up in junior derby, people who discovered derby as adults, and skaters who also compete with other leagues.
Different backgrounds. Different experience levels. One team.
DERBY IS BETTER WHEN EVERYONE BELONGS
Collision is built around supporting each other—on the track and off it. Experienced skaters help newer skaters grow. Teammates challenge each other to improve. And everyone gets to bring their own goals, experiences, and personality to the league.
Collision is roller derby for all humans.
We welcome people of all genders, gender identities and expressions, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, backgrounds, bodies, and abilities. We work to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible community for skaters, officials, volunteers, fans, and everyone who wants to be part of derby.
We gratefully acknowledge the Native Peoples on whose ancestral homelands we live, work, and skate, as well as the diverse and vibrant Native communities who make North Carolina their home today.
